胡作玄先生简介及其科普作品一览
胡作玄先生，1936年出生于北京，1947-1953年在北师大附中读中学，1957年毕业于北京大学化学系，毕业后在北京机械学院任教，教过化学、物理学及数学。1964年调到中国科学院数学研究所工作，1980年起转到系统科学院研究所工作，主要研究近现代数学史及科技史，1985年到1987年曾在联邦德国汉堡大学数学系自然科学、数学及技术史研究所任访问教授，通晓英法德等八国外文，广泛阅读人文及社会科学著作，至今仍笔耕不辍。最早读到的是他的《布尔巴基学派的兴衰》，写得真是荡气回肠啊。
